I Am A Mother of 4, Raising 3

People always ask me why do I say 4 children and I only have 3? It would be easy to get offended, but I understand that everyone see things differently. When I gave birth to Kemi, she was born alive and healthy. Even though she passed away that same day, she was still here. Kemi is one of my kids and will always be a part of my life. July 4th is a fun day for families, but for my family its a sad day. Every year on the 4th, we give her a party to celebrate her life and then take the kids out to look at fireworks. We treat her no different than the other little ones in our home. We always discuss Kemi with the kids and explain to them that she is in a better place. I show them pictures of her ultrasounds and of myself being pregnant with her. I thank God for her everyday.
